Order a wallpaper sample if you wish to experience the colours, texture, and see if it suits your home. With the samples, it's also possible to test if they will adhere well to your wall, door, ceiling, furniture, or whatever you wish to personalize with Tonka Paper's decorations.
Gold leaf: The gold leaf we use is imitation gold leaf of the highest quality from Italy – it is a metal leaf and not real gold. This is the most durable solution, and the wallpaper comes with a thin sealant.
Easy installation, good for rental homes and sloped walls
Made from premium fabric-based peel and stick wallpaper, so the decorations can be applied without tools or glue. They can be removed completely without leaving traces and reapplied – ideal for renters or anyone who loves to refresh their decor. Can be reused many times.
TIP:
Also works well on ceilings and furniture such as wardrobe doors.

The hand-painted products are painted freehand, and each one is unique. Each decoration consists of several layers of paint, which provides depth and texture — a smart alternative to printed wallpaper and vinyl/plastic wall stickers. No plastic and no mass production. Therefore, there may be small colour differences from the images shown and between productions.

Your order is produced in our studio in Copenhagen. Most items have a production time of 1-2 days. Gold, silver, and copper-plated decorations are shipped after 7 days.

The decorations are reusable. Are you moving or redecorating? Place them on some baking paper and store in airtight containers. Have they collected dust and lost their adhesiveness? Apply water-soluble school glue or wallpaper paste to the back and wash off any excess glue.

Each design consists of multiple layers of paint, which gives depth and texture. We created this as a smart and affordable alternative to printed wallpaper and vinyl/plastic wall stickers – no plastic and no mass production!
Installation is made easy – it's a perfect DIY project. Each wall sticker is cut out so you can try out different setups with the included tack packs.
The wall art is flexible, unique and practical. The surface is sturdy, can be cleaned with a damp cloth and the decorations can be used again and again. If the self-adhesive backing collects dust after many moves, you can simply add a little water-soluble glue, such as school glue.
TIP:
Place them on dark surfaces to make the colors pop – or on light surfaces for a more discreet look.

Can they be installed on textured walls?
You can mount our wall art on a lightly textured surface without deep holes. Textured surfaces like woodchip wallpaper are not ideal for mounting, as they create too many air pockets under the decoration. See examples of different surfaces here.

Can it be moved?
Yes, it can. It's best to move it as little as possible, as the adhesive will pick up dust from the surface. That's why "monkey snot" (reusable adhesive) is included, so you can experiment until you find the perfect placement. However, you can easily move the decorations during installation, as the adhesive works optimally after 48 hours. If you want to move them later, in most cases they can be easily relocated and still adhere to the new position. If the back has collected too much dust to adhere optimally, simply add a little water-soluble glue, such as wallpaper paste or school glue, and you can reuse your wall art again and again.
