Shipping and delivery
All hand-painted wallpapers from Tonka Papers are only produced after you have placed your order – each design is painted, cut and packaged in our studio in Denmark.
When your order is ready to ship, you will receive an email with tracking so you can follow the package all the way home.
Delivery in Denmark
- Production time: typically 2 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page
- Delivery time: usually 1-2 business days in DK from dispatch.
- Shipping price: from 39 DKK for orders under 499 DKK.
- Free shipping: on purchases over 499 DKK.
All orders are shipped on weekdays and you will receive a tracking link as soon as the package has been shipped.
Delivery in EU and UK
- Production time: typically 2 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page
- Delivery time: approximately 4-7 business days from dispatch.
- Shipping price: 175 DKK / 23.95€ / 21 british pounds
The order will be sent as a parcel with tracking, and special designs will be sent by arrangement.
Delivery to USA, Canada
- Production time: typically 2 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page
- Delivery time: approximately 5-9 business days from dispatch.
- Shipping price: 300 DKK / 48 dollars for Standard Delivery
- Fast Shipping DKK 600 / 96 dollars

Delivery to Australia, New Zealand
- Production time: typically 2 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page
- Delivery time: approximately 6-10 business days from dispatch.

Customs, VAT and import duties
Orders within the EU and UK
For deliveries within the EU, Danish VAT is included in the price, and there are no additional customs duties or import duties upon delivery.
For goods to the UK, VAT is also included in the price and only purchases over 135 GBP may incur customs or import duties, which are paid by the buyer.
Orders to other countries outside the EU
If you are ordering to a country outside the EU, your order may be subject to local customs, import or VAT fees, which are collected by local authorities when the package arrives in the country.
- Any additional fees, customs duties and local taxes are paid by the recipient.
- Customs processing time may extend the total delivery time and this is beyond our control.
If you have any questions about customs and taxes in your country, please write to us and we can investigate whether there will be customs duties on the purchase in your country.
For many smaller purchases, there will be no additional costs.
Delayed or non-delivery
The delivery times above are estimated and may vary during busy periods or due to customs clearance in your country.
If your order is significantly delayed, or you have not received your package within a reasonable period of time, please contact us and we will help investigate the matter.

Frequently asked questions about wall decorations from Tonka Papers
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions. If you do not find an answer here, you are very welcome to write in the chat or send an email.
Do I have to install myself?
The wall decorations are designed so that anyone can put them up themselves, unlike ordinary wallpaper. It must be smart and fun and you must be able to make your own mark.
They work like wall stickers, also called wall stickers. There are no webs to be hung straight and cut or patterns to match. No tools are needed. In the package you receive, there will be suggestions for different suspensions, but there is no conclusion. You can hang them on any suitable surface, ie. a clean, dry, non-porous surface without structure. They therefore do not hang well on the sawdust wallpaper or fiberglass.
The package also includes adhesive pads that you can use for a temporary suspension before you decide how the whole thing should be placed. Masking tape can also be used to make sample hangers.
Where can I install?
For B2B customers and you who need a wall decoration for a place with a lot of traffic, uneven/special surface, we often recommend a solution with permanent glue. See the special design page .
It is important that the surface is clean, smooth and dry. A freshly painted wall may feel dry, but is only fully cured after a few weeks. The glue will not be able to adhere optimally to uneven surfaces such as sawdust wallpaper. The material of the wall decorations is fire approved according to the European classification EN 13501-1. This means that the material is fire tested and approved for use in public places.

Can I order a sample?
You can order a sample of all designs. If you don't find it here on the page, send an email with your order to info@tonkapapers.com
Colors reproduced on screens differ from the colors we see in reality, so it is recommended to order a sample if you are in doubt.
How much should I order?
If in doubt, we can help estimate how many sets you need for your project. On the product page you can find measurements of the product and the contents of the package.
Most decorations have a size indicated, which indicates whether they are large or small motifs and how big the whole set is.
A size XL is enough to decorate an entire room, a size M enough for one wall, while a size XS works like a smaller painting.
How long is the delivery time?
The normal delivery time is approx. 3-5 working days for orders in DK. Expect longer delivery times for international orders. If the product is in stock, it will be shipped the same day. Special productions are dispatched within 10 days, unless otherwise agreed.
Can I cancel?
It is possible to cancel your order until it has been sent to production or shipped from the warehouse. Therefore, send us an email as soon as possible to info@tonkapapers.com
Can I return goods?
Wall decorations purchased from the webshop can be returned within 30 days. They must be returned in the same condition as received. Wall decorations that are custom-made based on the customer's wishes cannot, as a rule, be returned. If there are errors, missing items or your goods have been damaged during delivery, contact us as soon as possible and no later than 14 days by emailing info@tonkapapers.com with an attached photo, so that your goods can be replaced. Unless there are errors or omissions, you pay for the direct costs associated with returning the item.
