1. Use a spirit level or laser to find a vertical straight line. Above this line, you can place the painter's tape, which will be used as a guide for the frame of wallpaper border pieces.
2. Place 4 pieces of the wallpaper border.
3. For the corner, use a vertical guide. Place the spirit level at the edge of the last piece of wallpaper border. Place the next four pieces of border along the painter's tape (on the outside of the frame and starting in line with the horizontal border).
Corner assembly:
To ensure the border forms a perfect square, the corners must be joined differently:
- In one pair of diagonal corners, the vertical border is placed next to the end of the horizontal border.
- In the other pair of diagonal corners, the horizontal border is placed below/above the vertical border.
This evens out the direction of the pattern all around without unwanted overlap or gaps.
